Repair and Refresh of Six Seafront Shelters, The Seafront, Minehead
Minehead Town Council is currently inviting quotations from interested contractors for the repair and refurbishment of the seafront shelters. This is a quotation exercise and not a formal tender process.
Project OverviewThe works comprise the preparation, repair and redecoration of six existing shelters at the seafront, Minehead to the specification of Minehead Town Council. To include the whole structure & associated seating.
The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, plant, equipment, access arrangements, and waste disposal required to complete the works on all six shelters.
All works shall be undertaken in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation, relevant British Standards, manufacturer's recommendations, and the Council’s requirements. The appointed Contractor must carry public liability insurance of 5 million.Contractors may identify and recommend additional or alternative works where, in their professional opinion, these are necessary or appropriate.

Key dates and DeadlinesAt this stage, no fixed closing date has been set for the submission of quotations. The Council will review all quotations received and will take into account the professional advice and recommendations provided by contractors regarding the most appropriate timing and method for carrying out the works.
The Council's intention is for the project to be completed in advance of the 2027 tourist season, and contractors are therefore encouraged to propose realistic timescales that will help achieve this objective.
