Understanding the Town Council Budget and Precept

Each year, Minehead Town Council sets a budget to fund the services, projects and facilities it provides for the community. This includes day‑to‑day operations, investment in local amenities, and maintaining earmarked reserves for future needs. Once the budget is agreed, the Council sets the annual precept — the portion of Council Tax that directly supports Town Council services.
